Description
The Motorcraft DPFE24 Sensor Assembly is an integral part of the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) System, providing information to the Power-train Control Module (PCM) to optimize engine performance and emissions.
- Complete Prove-Out Testing: Each DPFE sensor undergoes 22 performance, electrical, reliability, and durability tests during the validation process.
- Pressure Cycling: Undergoes 400 million pressure cycles in the vehicle and engine application for which they were designed.
- Durability: Tested to meet a demanding 10-year/150,000-mile service life specification for passenger cars and light trucks.
- Ford Motor Company Recommended: The only parts recommended by Ford Motor Company for Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles.
- Function: DPFE Sensors provide information to the PCM telling it how much exhaust gas is flowing through the system.
- System Integration: The PCM uses this information to control the EGR Valve and other factors to optimize engine performance and emissions performance.
